The art of the beautifully arranged day
Jen & Jones is a wedding and event planning studio based on Derry Lane in Bingham. We plan and style weddings across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and the Vale of Belvoir, and milestone parties for those who want the details remembered long after the last dance.
Small studio, long memories
We are a deliberately small studio. Each year we take on only a handful of weddings, so every couple has our full attention from the first coffee at our Bingham studio to the final carriage home. Our work is quiet and precise: timetables no one sees but everyone feels, tables that look gathered rather than decorated, and a calm presence beside you from morning preparations to the last song.
Most of our weddings take place within an easy drive of Bingham, from the halls and farms of the Trent Valley to stone churches and castle lawns around the Vale of Belvoir and into Leicestershire. That geography is our home ground; we know its florists, its caterers, its light in June and its mud in November.
Meet the studioVenues we know by heart
From country houses on the Trent to castle terraces above the Belvoir Vale, these are the settings where our plans most often come to life.
The planning process
Every commission follows the same five movements, whether we are with you for eighteen months or simply for the day itself.
The First Conversation
We meet in Bingham or at your venue, talk through your ideas over tea, and listen far more than we speak.
Design & Direction
A written design brief and visual direction: palette, florals, stationery, table settings and the mood of the day.
The Particulars
Suppliers drawn from our trusted Midlands little black book, contracts checked, tastings arranged, budgets kept honest.
The Final Month
Detailed schedules for the venue, suppliers and wedding party, a rehearsal where possible, and every question answered.
On the Day
We arrive early, dress the details, cue the music and keep the day moving so you never once look at a watch.
A December wedding at Swancar Farm
Trowell, NottinghamshireWhen Amelia and Tom asked for a winter wedding that felt like a country house Christmas, we dressed the barn at Swancar Farm with bare branches, taper candles in antique brass and a cake table of dried oranges and velvet ribbon.
Guests arrived to mulled cider and left, hours later, singing on the lane. It is the wedding our studio is asked about most often.
