Privacy Policy
This policy explains how JEN & JONES LTD. collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit this website or write to the studio.
Who we are
JEN & JONES LTD. (“we”, “us”, “the studio”) is a wedding and event planning studio registered at 27 Derry Lane, Bingham, Nottingham, NG13 8DG, England. You can reach us at any time by email at hello@jenandjones.co.uk. For the purposes of UK data protection law, JEN & JONES LTD. is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website.
What data we collect
We keep the collection of personal data to a minimum. The data we may process includes:
- Emails you send us directly. When you write to hello@jenandjones.co.uk, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us about your event. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, where you engage the studio, to plan and deliver our services under a contract with you.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting server automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page and the date and time of each request. These logs are used for security monitoring and troubleshooting and are not used to identify individual visitors.
- Cookies and local storage. This site stores your cookie consent choice in your browser's local storage under the key “jenandjones-consent”. We do not use this record to identify you personally; it simply remembers whether you have accepted or declined cookies so the consent banner does not reappear. See our cookie policy for full details.
Embedded Google Maps
Our contact page embeds an interactive Google Map so you can find the studio. When the map loads, your browser connects directly to Google, and Google may set its own cookies or collect data such as your IP address in accordance with its own privacy practices, which are outside our control. The map does not load until you reach the contact page. You can read how Google handles data in its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Microsoft Advertising
This website may display advertisements served by Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads). Microsoft may use cookies and similar technologies on this site to measure advertising performance and to show you advertisements that are more relevant to your interests. Depending on your consent choice and your own Microsoft privacy settings, ads may be personalised or non-personalised. We do not receive or store the personal data Microsoft uses for ad personalisation. Please see our advertising policy for how Microsoft uses data and how to opt out.
How we use your data
We use personal data only to respond to enquiries, to plan and deliver wedding and event services for our clients, to keep the website secure, and to meet legal or accounting obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except where necessary to deliver our services (for example, sharing dietary requirements with a caterer at a wedding you have engaged us to plan), or where the law requires us to do so.
Data retention
Enquiry emails are kept for up to twenty-four months so we can follow up on conversations about future events, after which they are deleted. Records relating to contracted weddings and events are kept for six years after the event to satisfy UK tax and accounting requirements, then securely deleted. Server logs are rotated and deleted within thirty days. The cookie consent record stored in your browser remains until you clear your browser data or withdraw consent via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, simply email hello@jenandjones.co.uk and we will respond within one calendar month. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time as our services or the law change. The effective date shown at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. If we make a significant change, we will note it clearly here. This policy was last reviewed on 1 October 2026.
